POP ART PARADISE IN Oregon Wine Country
What if I told you there's a way to be transported to a New York City style artist's loft, just 45 minutes outside of Portland, Oregon, in the Dundee Hills? Oh, and there's expressive wines, designer house cats + loads of eye candy.
As soon as you step into the sleek and moody foyer at Artist Block, your experience begins to unfold. Moving into the bright, airy, and colorful tasting room, you'll find yourself immersed in an atmosphere that's both chic and nostalgic, with art inspired by the '60s, '70s, '80s, and beyond adorning the walls. It's a feast for the eyes and a treat for the playful spirit.
We visited on an early May morning and immediately got comfy on a stylish couch to enjoy the curated selection of wines that Artist Block affectionately calls "art in a bottle." Through the expansive windows, we took in the surrounding beauty while savoring each sip — a testament to the creative vibe running through this unique spot in the Willamette Valley. Just as impressive as the wine is the tasting room's setting, tucked among Oregon's finest fir trees, offering a lush, greenery-hued hug.
The vision of Founder and CEO, Anna Sweet, and the wines crafted by Bree Stock, winemaker (and Oregon’s only female Master of Wine), set the tone for a truly stimulating wine tasting experience.
In their words:
"Artist Block is a creative haven for dreamers, thinkers, and doers. We support a community of up-and-coming artists and winemakers. Experience new works and ideas at every point in the creative process while enjoying some of the most innovative wines the rising stars of the Oregon wine scene have to offer. You can also enjoy forward-thinking classic and new varietals from Artist Block winemaker and Oregon's only female Master of Wine, Bree Stock, at the Artist Block estate vineyard."
Artist Block expertly combines art, wine, and ambiance, creating a memorable Willamette Valley, Oregon's oldest wine region, experience that seamlessly blends the past and the present, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that sets it apart.
We can't wait to Sip, Savor, Explore this Oregon original with their exceptional wines and vibrant space again!
